Review Policy

PolSci Dialogues (PSD) journal publishes original articles dedicated to Political Science, International Relations, European Studies, and Security Studies. The PSD will not consider manuscripts that are being reviewed for publication by other journals or those with content that has already been substantially published elsewhere. Manuscripts that do not adhere to the formatting and submission guidelines will not proceed to the review stage.

Articles submitted for publication undergo a double-blind peer-review process, followed by evaluation by our editors and editorial board.

Please allow up to six months for the review process to be completed. Depending on the verdicts, we will either:

  • ACCEPT: The manuscript is well-conceived and executed, warranting publication as an anonymous peer-reviewed article.
  • ACCEPT WITH MINOR REVISIONS: The manuscript should be accepted pending minor revisions, as noted in the comments. Once these revisions are made, it will be a valuable contribution as an anonymous peer-reviewed article. (The reviewer’s comments should provide sufficient guidance for the author to address the concerns raised.)
  • REVISE AND RESUBMIT: The manuscript does not warrant publication in its current form but will be suitable for publication as an anonymous peer-reviewed article after the suggested revisions are made. (The reviewer’s comments should provide enough detail for the author to effectively address the concerns raised.)
  • REJECT: The manuscript does not warrant publication as an anonymous peer-reviewed article.

While the opponents‘ reviews are critically important, the final decision on whether to accept or reject the article for publication rests solely with the Editorial team and the Editor-in-Chief. If reviews are contradictory or otherwise in conflict, a third review will be solicited.
